Plasma nitriding is a priority tempering procedure at our company, because it enables the hardening of a wide variety of materials.
The product does not harden throughout its whole cross-section, so it does not get rigid, only a firm external layer evolves. The products do not undergo dimensional changes during this treatment, so end-products might also be hardened this way.
